Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month is held appropriately each year in April to honor the anniversary of the founding of the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) in 1866.
Lone Star State pet-lovers and their four-legged counterparts are invited to participate in the ASPCA’s first annual Wag-n-Walk one-mile Dog Walk! After the walk, join us at the ASPCA’s Go Orange for Animals Festival in the Rock Garden area at Zilker Park, featuring:
• Adoptable pets
• Live music from The Delta Spirit
• Info on discounted services from local spay/neuter group
• Refreshments for humans and canines
• ASPCA experts to answer your questions
• A variety of pet-friendly festivities
